Becca Diaz & Carrie Kruse
Owners of Raddatz Dance & Instructors

Becca began her dance career at Nancy Raddatz Dance Studio at the age of three. She truly understood the concept of a dance family from a young age as the rest of her family was also dancing at the studio. She spent years performing in recitals alongside her father, mother and two older sisters. Becca continued her dance education at the studio studying tap, jazz, ballet, pointe, lyrical and modern. Becca was the recipient of the Student of the Year scholarship in 2007.

Becca earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience from the University of St. Thomas in 2015. During her time at St. Thomas, Becca was a member of Pulse, an on-campus dance club. She performed with this group, working with different choreographers and learning new styles of dance. She continued to take dance classes throughout the Twin Cities during this time. Becca holds a Master’s degree in Elementary Education from Hamline University.

Becca has taught tap, jazz, lyrical, ballet and hip hop classes at both Raddatz Dance locations and continues to love working with children of all ages. She aspires to establish a safe, fun and loving environment for students to grow in their knowledge and love of dance, and is passionate about watching her students grow into confident dancers.

Carrie has been a part of Raddatz Dance since she first brought her children and nieces to dance more than 20 years ago. Carrie joined the Raddatz staff in 2005 as the studio office manager. Carrie quickly developed a love for the studio because of the upbeat, fun and inclusive atmosphere it offered.

The studio became a second home for Carrie and her six children over the years and the phrase dance family truly describes the way she feels about the dancers and their families! She enjoys the opportunity to watch students grow and develop through their time at the studio. Watching the confidence, skills, and friendships grow brings her great joy!

When Nancy Raddatz passed in 2021, there were many questions about what would happen to her studio. Nancy’s daughter approached Becca & Carrie and asked if they would like to purchase the business and continue Nancy’s legacy. Becca & Carrie were excited and proud to officially purchase the business in May of 2022. They are looking forward to many more years celebrating the love of dance and continuing Nancy’s legacy!

Thank you for joining the Raddatz Dance Family!
